Bucks County Local Foods E-Guide

Maize Restaurant

Maize Restaurant Chef Matthew McPhelin chooses locally grown items, at the peak of their season and the menu changes weekly.

Chef McPhelin opened Maize in 2009. He chose the name “Maize” or corn, because in Native American the word “Mahiz” means “that which sustains us.” Maize allowed early settlers to waistband the first winter. Native Americans offered popcorn as a sign of hospitality to welcome guests. Maize Restaurant welcomes you to come and indulge in an experience like no other.

Maize Restaurant is a BYOB, relaxed dining experience. Everything on the menu is made to order. Parties of two can expect a 2 - 2 1/2 hour dining experience. Reservations are strongly recommended.
