It's time for the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance's Annual Meeting. Members and the public are invited to attend this gathering.
The topic of this year's meeting is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). We'll talk about the benefits of purchasing a share in a CSA and discuss the different types of CSAs, so you can decide which one is the best for you. Many farms in Bucks County and adjacent counties offer CSA programs, and a handful will be at the meeting to talk about their farm and how to join.
ANNUAL MEETING SCHEDULE:
6:30 - 7:15 - Pot luck dinner and socializing
7:15 - 8:00 - Presentation: CSA's - What and Where they are - and are they for you? The program will include:
- A general presentation on Community Supported Agriculture Farms in Bucks County, including their histories and their varied structures.
- Representatives from some of those CSA's will share about their structures and how/why they came to be.
- Information from as many as possible of the Bucks County CSA's will be provided.
- Questions and answers about CSA's and their alternatives.
