Jamming in the Kitchen! Preserves Workshop @ Blue Moon Acres

On Thursday, May 7th prepare for summer early with Blue Moon Acres and Farm to Jars! Marian Bolum, takes “jamming” to another level with “Strazzberry Jam”. The combination of fresh strawberries and raspberries will have your taste buds jumping for joy while we enjoy a Crepe Cake filled with this delightful preserve and a pastry crème.

In this workshop, we will learn the safe and proper step-by-step techniques for preserving our favorite fruits when they are at peak ripeness. In addition, we will learn the steps to create crepes that can be turned into any sweet or savory dish. The lesson will cover selecting your product, kitchen prep, storage and inventory. Join us for a night of sweet treats and learn how to fill your pantry with delicious jam that you can enjoy all year. A perfect night out to celebrate Mother’s Day!

Marian Bolum, founder of Farm to Jars, is the only Certified Master Food Preserver in Bucks County. She leads workshops and classes throughout the North East and teaches people to eat seasonally all year round, without ever wasting a drop.

$45 per person. Includes: step by step instructions, handouts, recipes, tastings, light meal of sweet & savory crepes, beverages and a jar of jam to go home.
