Bucks County Foodshed Alliance is proud to be the founder of the Wrightstown Farmers Market and the new managing organization of the Doylestown Farmers Market. Both of these wonderful markets create a sustainable source of revenue for our local farmers and share our mission to build a resilient local food system through connection, education and collaboration in their own unique ways.
Wrightstown Farmers Market, at 2203 Second Street Pike, is open every Saturday, 9–1, May through November, and the Winter Market is held 10–12 on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, December through April at The Gathering, 2324 Second Street Pike, Wrightstown, PA (use Newtown for the GPS).
Started by the fledgling BCFA organization in 2006, this vibrant farmers market has grown into a self-sufficient, thriving, exciting place to be on Saturdays in Spring, Summer and Fall. Wrightstown has become the most successful, well-attended local-food-focused, producer-only market in Bucks County. It is a mecca for shoppers looking for fresh vegetables grown using organic practices and for a variety of meats and dairy products from animals grown on local, lush pastures and without hormones or antibiotics. Chef demonstrations, children's activities and other programs go beyond the food, and the live music adds atmosphere that makes Wrightstown Farmers Market a destination for good food and good company all year round.
And as a truly year round market, the new indoor bi-weekly Winter Market completes the cycle. Over 30 vendors offer local, seasonal, sustainable produce, meats, eggs, dairy products, baked goods, and more.
