Job Title: EVENTS/ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
General Job Description:
The position of the Events/Activities Coordinator is to plan, organize and implement special events and activities during the regular market season for 20 out of the 30 market Saturdays. Such activities/events include: chef demonstrations, community groups at the market, kids activities and other fun market happenings. This position requires working with the Market Manager on coordination.
Market Promotion
Draft promotional content for the activities on a weekly basis.
Required Skills:
-Excellent people skills: friendly, outgoing, warm, tactful, strong
communication skills
-Highly organized and efficient
-Creative program development and implementation
-Sincere passion for farmers markets and support of the local economy
-Enthusiastic advocate of local farming and support of local farmers/producers
-Comfortable reaching out to members in the community for various
market projects
Compensation-$1,000 Stipend
