Learn how to grow plants and crops for beauty and bounty, even when you have no garden!
Jeanne Mantell, a lifelong gardener and Bucks County Master Gardener, will share tips on how to create a bountiful garden with limited space or no in-ground space at all. Join us on Wednesday, May 4, 7-8:30pm, at Warminster Heights Senior Center, 75 Downey Drive, Warminster 18974. There is no charge and no need to register; donations accepted.
The program is co-sponsored by Bucks Country Gardens, 1057 North Easton Road, Doylestown 18902.
Vegetables, herbs, annual and perennial flowers and more can be raised in containers to augment in-ground home gardens, create accessible tabletop and hanging plantings or simply beautify a porch, patio, deck or yard. It’s easier than you think to raise tomatoes, peppers, abundant herbs, flowers—even potatoes and corn.
Expect to learn about a container gardener’s choices for
- pots that drain properly and are sized for what’s planted,
- the right soil mix and
- plants that thrive in containers.
Jeanne will help troubleshoot common container gardening issues and answer your questions.
