Learn how to make your own Sauerkraut as part of our Fall Program Series at Tyler State Park. Simple and Delicious!
Please pre-register; this class is limited to 25 participants.
In this hands-on session, we will make and take our own sauerkraut. Sauerkraut is lightly fermented cabbage with a distinctive sour flavor. It has a long list of health benefits that go beyond benefiting your gut bacteria. Get hands-on experience preparing the ingredients while Cristina and Aura discuss the incredible health benefits of pre and probiotic foods. Take home your own jar of sauerkraut to help feed your gut all throughout the fall. Participants must bring a knife, a cutting board, a quart jar and $10 materials fee payable to the speaker.
Cristina Hoyt, MS and Aura Carlson, MS, CNS are Nutritionists at Bucks County Center for Integrative Medicine (BCIM) and both have their Masters of Science specializing in Integrative Clinical Nutrition. They carry a love of home-prepared foods and sharing their knowledge as well as making eating healthfully and nutritiously simple for everyone.
