This hands-on three-hour workshop will teach you how to compost with worms, a fun and easy way to create "black gold" for your garden! Adam is the workshop instructor and primary farmer at Hundred Fruit Farm. (His full bio can be found here.) Adam is an expert worm composter and has been vermicomposting, both indoors and outdoors, for over six years now.
The workshop will go over the basics of worm biology, how to obtain and care for worms, what to feed them, different worm composting set-ups, and how to harvest finished compost and liquid "worm tea". The hands-on component will be assembling 14 gallon indoor/outdoor worm composting bins and adding in the bedding and worms. An optional $40 materials fee will allow you to take one of these completed bins home with you, worms and all.
To register, please email [email protected]. Registrations must be made before March 20 if you would like to take a worm bin home with you.
Cost: $15 (Workshop only), add $40 for Worm Bin Materials
